Christian heads in Israel, PA warn against unilateral moves

The leaders of the Christian faith in Israel and the Palestinian territories expressed concern over the possibility that the newly elected Israeli government will continue its unilateral withdrawal from the territories: "On this occasion we wish to express our concerns regarding the frequent talks on Israeli intentions to proceed in implementing unilateral measures in the West Bank, while seemingly ignoring the Palestinians and their democratically-elected leadership," they said.

In a special announcement published Wednesday in English and Arabic, following the results of the election to the 17th Knesset, the Christian leaders urged the international community "to explain to all parties, but especially to the Israeli decision makers, who are the dominant decision-makers for the time-being in the holy land, (Nothing  holy about the spiritual whore) that unilateral measures will probably bring some temporary solutions, but such measures will not end the mutual mistrust and misunderstanding between the two peoples living in this beloved and blessed land."

The Christians then proceed to address the Israeli and Palestinian governments saying: "We urge the elected Israeli leadership to demonstrate courage and wisdom by resuming the peace process with the Palestinians.

At the same time, we urge the Palestinian leaders to send a clear message of peace to the Israeli citizens, as well. We are confident that the vast majority of the Israelis and Palestinians are tired from the Conflict and eager to live in security, peace and justice."

Former attorney Elsebeth Baumgartner, released Tuesday posting bail, is being treated like a political prisoner for speaking out at a city council meeting, sending emails to a judge and running a highly critical, anti-neocon web site.

 

 

The Ohio attorney, persecuted by the Illuminati for uncovering deep rooted scandals leading to the White House, was jailed again Monday on new charges related to her highly critical web site recently dismantled by authorities.

 

Treated like a political prisoner with Nazi-like tactics, Elsebeth Baumgartner, 50, was taken into custody Monday after appearing in court in a related criminal case, carrying a maximum sentence of 66 years and 6 months.

 

The well-respected Ohio bio-tech attorney, who graduated from the University of Toledo Law School first in her class, has already spent approximately 244 days behind bars on a first time misdemeanor charge, including 10 days "locked in a hole" without the right to counsel, clergy or even phone calls.

 

Ohio authorities decided to lash out at Baumgartner for merely speaking out at a local city counsel meeting after presenting highly documented and substantiated evidence of corruption leading to the doorstep of the White House and the highest levels of Ohio government.

 

Since being released from jail on the original misdemeanor charge, Baumgartner started a web site to expose "the criminals in government," a move that she claims "has led to two more trumped up charges being leveled against me," carrying a maximum of 109 years and 6 months in jail.

Rice: U.S. might back unilateral withdrawal from West Bank

United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Thursday that Washington did not rule out support for any unilateral territorial choices that Israel may make.

Rice was speaking in Berlin, a day after Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas swore in the new Hamas-led government and two days after the Kadima party's electoral success made Olmert almost certain to be the next Israeli prime minister.

She noted that Washington backed Israel's unilateral decision last year to pull out of the Gaza Strip, and that Israel ended up coordinating the withdrawal with the Palestinian Authority. The Palestinian government was then fully led by Abbas and Fatah, and Israel by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who was replaced by Olmert after suffering a massive stroke (Deadly head wound assassination attempt)  in January.

"I wouldn't on the face of it just say absolutely we don't think there's any value in what the Israelis are talking about," Rice said. At the same time, the United States won't say now that it will back further unilateral moves until it knows more about them, Rice said.

Meanwhile, Israeli officials met with top U.S. envoys in Jerusalem on Thursday to discuss the new Hamas-led Palestinian government and the road map peace plan, a U.S. official said.

White House official Elliot Abrams (Jew)  and Assistant Secretary of State David Welch (Jew)  met with Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, and were to meet later Thursday with acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz, Stewart Tuttle, the U.S. Embassy spokesman, said.

In Berlin, Rice said she would also discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the war in Iraq during meetings with leaders in Germany and France. Rice then spends a long weekend as the guest of Britain's foreign secretary in the northern England district he represents in Parliament.

She also expressed her confidence in Abbas as someone who "stands for a rejection of terrorism and violence."

"I think there's considerable value in that," she said.

Arriving in Europe for talks on Iran's nuclear ambitions, Rice accused Iran of pursuing a "salami tactic," in expanding the scope of what it claims is a peaceful nuclear program one rhetorical slice at a time.

Mofaz orders IDF to step up operations against Islamic Jihad

Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said on Wednesday that increased action should be taken by Israel against the Islamic Jihad militant group, which fired a Katyusha rocket on southern Israel on Tuesday.

Mofaz has ordered the Israel Defense Forces to augment arrest raids and targeted assassinations against terror groups in general, and against Islamic Jihad in particular.

Regarding the swearing in of Hamas into the Palestinian Authority cabinet, Mofaz said that from now on, everything that takes place in Palestinian territories is the responsibility of Hamas. He added that there would be no talks with the militant group until it renounces terror, recognizes Israel and agrees to abide by former agreements signed between the PA and Israel.

Also on Tuesday, an Israeli citizen was treated for shock after a Qassam rocket landed in Kibbutz Carmiya in the western Negev.

The Katyusha rocket that was fired from the Gaza Strip on Tuesday is the first one to be launched from the Gaza Strip at Israel. It landed early in the morning without exploding in an open field in southern Ashkelon.

The estimated range of a Katyusha rocket is 24 kilometers, 15 more than a Qassam rocket. This escalation places many Israeli towns in the range of rockets fired from Gaza, including the coastal city of Ashkelon.

IDF sources presume the rocket was fired by Islamic Jihad, which has in its possession an additional number of rockets. It is likely that the firing of the rocket was intended to coincide with elections in Israel.

Ehud Olmert will be the Israeli prime minister. Whatever the reservations about the legitimacy of the election campaign or Olmert's own legitimacy, the decision has been made. It's the end of the twilight period of an acting premier next to the huge, orphaned chair of the prime minister. It's the end of the partial legitimacy. From now on, Olmert is captain of the Israeli ship.

The people have spoken: The land will be divided. Thirty-nine years after the start of the occupation, the Israeli nation decided this week to significantly minimize it. After decades of sharp argument, the State of Israel has fully adopted the two-state solution. There's no way back: It's the end of the twilight period of disengagement, yes or no. It's the end of the controversial legitimacy of the separation maneuver. From now on, the question is not if, but when, to where, and how. The Greater Land of Israel is over and done with.

Olmert is not Sharon. Sharon went very slowly, while Olmert goes very fast. Sharon behaved like a stubborn farmer, Olmert like a wily lawyer. That's why the public decided that the heir should not be trusted, and he should not have the same kind of absolute mandate that was given his predecessor. It's the end of the era of blindly following the mythological leader. It's the end of the spin and the carefully preserved citron. Until Olmert proves he is indeed worthy of the lofty position, he has limited credit. Israel said yes to Olmert's Kadima, but it was a partial, reserved yes. A yes, but.

The nation also said it was fed up with the hegemony of the top thousandth percentile. After years of wild privatization, the time has come to reexamine the situation. After a brutal decade of trampling over society, the time has come to ask where it is all heading. It's the end of the era that from the start granted legitimacy to every whim of the masters of the centralized economy. It's the end of the era that turns most Israelis into serfs of the new barons. Indeed, the elections were a referendum about not only the great withdrawal, but also the great wealth.

The decision made by the referendum for a more just distribution of the wealth is much clearer than the referendum's decision on the political future. Starting this week in Israel, there is an absolute majority committed to restraining social Darwinism. Amir Peretz may not have won, but social-democracy is back. After a long period of moral coma, the Israeli nation is once again demanding justice.

The people spoke in a strange and winding way. It smashed the Likud, turned its back on Benjamin Netanyahu, and split the right. It restrained Kadima, taught Olmert a lesson, and expressed its protest through the pensioners. But in Elections 2006, the Israeli public once again proved it is not stupid. It rebelled against those who tried to brainwash it, rose up against those who ordered it how to behave. It understood that something went wrong in the big bang, so it must be chilled and shrunk and treated extra cautiously.

Never has there been such a shameful election campaign in Israel. But at the end of this depressing race, the Israeli public proved that it, as opposed to some of its elites, still has the heartbeat of a vital, true democracy. Therefore, Olmert and Kadima should listen carefully to the complex decisions made by these elections, and respect them. The people have spoken, and what they said must be obeyed.

My kids just called me, because this rumor is rampant. They are so afraid because they do not know what to expect. People are telling them that they are going to die for a few minutes and then com back to life. I Pray to G-D that this is true, because if not it is going to be a HUGE disappointment for many. I don't think we should be talking about WHEN Moshiach is coming, just THAT Moshiach is coming. Once we get into "Moshiach is coming today or tomorrow or on Pesach etc... we set our selves up for MAJOR disappointment.

GAZA (Reuters) - Hamas vowed to keep fighting Israel as the militant group's government began work on Thursday, ignoring Western isolation that has brought the Palestinian Authority to the brink of financial collapse.

The "Quartet" of Middle East mediators said the Hamas government had failed to commit itself to peace and warned that financial aid would therefore be affected.

Hamas's exiled leader Khaled Meshaal said the Islamist movement had not changed its stance now that it was in government in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.

"We do not promise our people to turn Gaza into Hong Kong or Taiwan but we promise them a dignified and proud life behind the resistance in defense of their honor, their land and their pride," Meshaal said on Al Jazeera Television from Beirut.

Israel, where interim Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is building a coalition after his Kadima party won polls this week but took less than a quarter of seats in parliament, has already withheld monthly Palestinian tax transfers of $50 million-$55 million.

The Palestinian Authority relies on more than $1 billion in foreign aid each year.

Assuming the post of foreign minister in Gaza, hardline Hamas figure Mahmoud al-Zahar told his staff not to have contacts with "hostile" countries and those that cut aid.

Olmert's centrist Kadima party won Tuesday's election on plans to set Israel's final borders within four years with or without the agreement of its Palestinian neighbor.

While he has slammed the unilateral plans, Abbas telephoned Olmert on Thursday to congratulate him on his election win.

In the absence of negotiations, Olmert has vowed to draw Israel's permanent frontier by 2010 by removing isolated settlements in the occupied West Bank and expanding bigger ones

Palestinians say such a move would annex land and deny them the viable state they seek in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

He criticised Mr Jaafari for acting as if he only represented one party and not the whole country.

Since he became Prime Minister last year, the Ministry of the Interior has been accused of running anti-Sunni death squads.

Three groups of gunmen disguised as police yesterday kidnapped 24 Iraqis working in a currency exchange and two electronic stores.

Kidnapping has been rife since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein in 2003 but the kidnap gangs are operating ever more brazenly, kidnapping many people at the same time.

Earlier this month gunmen dressed as police commandos seized 50 men from a security company.

The objective of the kidnappers is money.

Many business and professional people have fled the country.

"A kidnap gang seized my nephew" one senior political figure said this week.

"There was nothing he could do to resist because they boxed in his car with seven cars filled with gunmen. They asked for $200,000 but settled for $20,000."

It is often not clear if criminals are disguised as police or are real policemen engaged in criminal activities.

Even a large number of bodyguards may not be sufficient protection.

A wealthy banker from Basra and his son were kidnapped in Baghdad by men dressed as police who cordoned off the street where they lived and killed seven of their bodyguards.

Mr Jaafari said the Iraqi government would try to "meld them, take them, take their names and make them join the army and police forces".

"And they will respect the army or police rather than the militias," he said.

But he said that the key ministries in any new government would go to people without ties to militias or clear sectarian bias.

"We insist that the ministers in the next cabinet, especially the ministers of defence and the interior, shouldn't be connected to any militias, and they should be non-sectarian," he said.

"They should be experienced in security work. They should keep the institutions as security institutions, not as political institutions. They should work for the central government."

Tehran - Thousands of Iranian troops will on Friday start a week-long military manoeuvre in the Gulf to ready armed forces for warding off "threats", a senior commander announced on state television.

The commander of the navy of revolutionary guards corps, Rear-Admiral Mostafa Safari, did not specify the nature of the threat although the manoeuvre comes amid increasing tensions with the West over Tehran's nuclear programme.

"The revolutionary guards corps navy and air force in collaboration with (Iran's regular) army, navy, (the volunteer militia) Basij, and the Iranian police will start a manoeuvre from 31 March until 6 April in the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman," he said.

Iran has two armed forces in which both have their own ground, naval and air force all under the command of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

He added: "We hope ... We will gain the necessary and needed readiness to decisively reply to any kind of threats."

"More than 17 000 soldiers and sailors will be used, along with 1 500 different kind of vessels, in addition to the different sorts of jet fighter planes, choppers and different missiles," he added, but did not say whether Iran will use its ballistic missiles.

Iran has medium-range Shahab-3 missiles with the capability of 2 000km, able of hitting arch-enemy Israel and US bases across the Middle East.

"The exercise will cover an area stretching from the northern tip of the Persian Gulf all the way to the port city of Chah-Bahar in the Sea of Oman extending 40km into the sea," he said.

In addition, the spokesperson of the manoeuvres, Rear-Admiral Mohammad Ebrahim Dehghan told state television that the strait of Hormouz will be one of the focal points of the exercise.

"Some 80% of the Persian Gulf's oil is shipped out of this strait over which Iran has dominant and accurate control," he said.

"If the enemy wants to make the area insecure, he should be rest assured that he will also suffer from the insecurity, since we know the location of their vessels," he added.

On Wednesday, Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov warned that any attempt at using force or coercion to resolve the standoff over Iran's nuclear programme would be counter-productive.

"Any ideas about a coercive, forceful solution to the issue are highly counter-productive and cannot be supported," Lavrov told reporters in Moscow.

Iran's defence minister, Mostafa Mohammad Najjar, said nearly two months ago that Islamic republic will give an "extremely quick and destructive response" to any attack against its nuclear facilities.

Fifth Fleet maintains a visible and powerful force to counter and deter threats to the Arabian [Persian] Gulf area. The Commander, US Naval Forces Central Command is the naval component commander for US Central Command responsible for combat operations in the Middle East. Several parents in Apopka, Fla., are upset over a surprise school "Holocaust" project that some say tormented children, according to a Local 6 News report.

ocal 6 News reported that eighth-graders with last names beginning with L through Z at Apopka Memorial Middle School were given yellow five-pointed stars for Holocaust Remembrance Day. Other students were privileged, the report said.

Father John Tinnelly said his son was forced to stand in the back of the classroom and not allowed to sit because he was wearing the yellow star.

"He was forced to go to the back of the lunch line four times by an administrator," Tinnelly said.

Tinnelly said the experiment upset his child.

"He was crying," Tinnelly said. "I said, 'What are you crying about?' He said, 'Daddy, I was a Jew today.'"

Other parents and children shared similar stories, Tinnelly said.

"They were told that they could not use the water fountains," Tinnely said. "There was even a sign supposedly at one water fountain (saying) if you're wearing a yellow star , you can't use this water fountain."

 

"This was supposed to be a creative way to teach the horrors of the Holocaust but unfortunately it has sparked controversy and more importantly it has sparked conversation," Reznick said. "We have now heard from nearly a dozen parents (who are) very upset."

 

 

Tinnelly said he believes it is important to teach the Holocaust, but apparently little was learned during the experiment.

 

"I tried to talk to my son and I asked all of these questions and the only thing he said is, 'Daddy, the only thing I found out today is I don't want to be Jewish,'" Tinnelly said.

 

"Children were selected to be persecuted or privileged, some not told the rule," Local 6 reporter Gerald Reznick said. "Parents tell Local 6 they were not told prior to the school-wide experiment."

"Teachers felt that it would have defeated the purpose to tell the students ahead of time because that would have prepared them," Principal Douglas Guthrie said. "Students came in and all they got was a star."

The disastrous foreign policies of the US have left it more isolated than ever, and China is standing by to take over

In becoming so catastrophically engaged in the Middle East, making the region its overwhelming global priority, it downgraded the importance of everywhere else, taking its eye off the ball in a crucial region such as east Asia, which in the long run will be far more important to the US's strategic interests than the Middle East. As such, the Iraqi adventure represented a major misreading of global trends and how they are likely to impact on the US. Hyde is clearly thinking in these terms: "We are well advanced into an unformed era in which new and unfamiliar enemies are gathering forces, where a phalanx of aspiring competitors must inevitably constrain and focus options. In a world where the ratios of strength narrow, the consequences of miscalculation will become progressively more debilitating. The costs of golden theories [by which he means the worldwide promotion of democracy] will be paid for in the base coin of our interests."

None of these inexhaustible orators and babblers know of the Sanhedrin, Nor the Prophecy of Jesus who is Christ the Lord

The promotion of the idea of the war against terror as the central priority of US policy had little to do with the actual threat posed by al-Qaida, which was always hugely exaggerated by the Bush administration, as events over the last four and a half years have shown. Al-Qaida never posed a threat to the US except in terms of the odd terrorist outrage. Making it the central thrust of US foreign policy, in other words, had nothing to do with the al-Qaida threat and everything to do with the Bush administration seeking to mobilise US public opinion behind a neoconservative foreign policy. There followed the tenuous - in reality nonexistent - link with Saddam, which provided in large measure the justification for the invasion of Iraq, an act which now threatens to unravel the bizarre adventurism, personified by Donald Rumsfeld, which has been the hallmark of Bush foreign policy since 9/11. The latter has come unstuck in the killing fields of Iraq in the most profound way imaginable.

Hyde alludes to a new "unformed" world and "a phalanx of aspiring competitors". On this he is absolutely right. The world is in the midst of a monumental process of change that, within the next 10 years or so, could leave the US as only the second largest economy in the world after China and commanding, with the rise of China and India, a steadily contracting share of global output. It will no longer be able to boss the world around in the fashion of the neoconservative dream: its power to do so will be constrained by the power of others, notably China, while it will also find it increasingly difficult to fund the military and diplomatic costs of being the world's sole superpower. If the US is already under financial pressure from its twin deficits and the ballooning costs of Iraq, then imagine the difficulties it will find itself in within two decades in a very different kind of world.

Hyde concludes by warning against the delusions of triumphalism and cautioning that the future should not be seen as an extension of the present: "A few brief years ago, history was proclaimed to be at an end, our victory engraved in unyielding stone, our pre-eminence garlanded with permanence. But we must remember that Britain's majestic rule vanished in a few short years, undermined by unforeseen catastrophic events and by new threats that eventually overwhelmed the palisades of the past. The life of pre-eminence, as with all life on this planet, has a mortal end. To allow our enormous power to delude us into seeing the world as a passive thing waiting for us to recreate it in an image of our choosing will hasten the day when we have little freedom to choose anything at all."

That the world will be very different within the next two decades, if not rather sooner, is clear; yet there is scant recognition of this fact and what it might mean - not least in our own increasingly provincial country. The overwhelming preoccupation of the Bush administration (and Blair for that matter) with Iraq, the Middle East and Islam, speaks of a failure to understand the deeper forces that are reshaping the world and an overriding obsession with realising and exploiting the US's temporary status as the sole global superpower. Such a myopic view can only hasten the decline of the US as a global power, a process that has already started.

The Bush administration stands guilty of an extraordinary act of imperial overreach which has left the US more internationally isolated than ever before, seriously stretched financially, and guilty of neglect in east Asia and elsewhere. Iraq was supposed to signal the US's new global might: in fact, it may well prove to be a harbinger of its decline. And that decline could be far more precipitous than anyone has previously reckoned. Once the bubble of US power has been pricked, in a global context already tilting in other directions, it could deflate rather more quickly than has been imagined. Hyde's warnings should be taken seriously.

Arab Bomber Dressed as Jewish Hitchhiker Murders Three

An Arab terrorist from Fatah's Al-Aksa Brigade dressed as a Jewish hitchhiker and blew himself up inside the car of those who picked him up near Kedumim, in Samaria - murdering three Jews.

The attack took place at 10 PM near the gas station and hitchhiking station adjacent to the town of Kedumim.

The terror group released a statement saying the bomber was a 24-year-old from Hevron.

Shortly following the explosion, police believed the blast was a terrorist bomb that detonated prematurely, killing the bomber inside. The vehicle was engulfed in flames so preliminary reports took over an hour to begin to reflect the reality.

It now appears that the bomber dressed as a Jew, wearing a kippa (yarmulke) and hassidic garb and was given a ride by the unsuspecting occupants of the Israeli vehicle. He then blew himself up inside, killing three passengers. The number of dead remains unclear but it appears to be two at this time.

Jewish groups welcome immigration reforms

Jewish groups welcomed an immigration bill that offers illegal immigrants a path to legal status.

The bill the Senate Judiciary Committee referred to the full Senate on Wednesday considerably softens a version passed last year in the U.S. House of Representatives, which some had characterized as “enforcement only” because it didn’t include avenues for illegal immigrants to change their status.

The National Council of Jewish Women, American Jewish Committee, Jewish Council for Public Affairs and Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society all backed the changes.

The Senate version “strikes the right note in striving for the appropriate balance of enhancing our national security while protecting those who are most vulnerable in our society through earned legalization and increased worker protections,” said Richard Foltin, the AJCommittee’s legislative director.

Jews join letter against ‘anti-terror’ bill

More than 300 organizations and businesses, including about a dozen small Jewish groups, signed a letter opposing the Palestinian Anti-Terrorism Act.

The petition presented this week to the act’s principal sponsor, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.), says the act “would punish and isolate the Palestinian people for exercising their right to vote.”

Minnesota lawmakers gets anti-Semitic mail

Minnesota legislative leaders joined the state’s Jewish Community Relations Council in denouncing anti-Semitic hate mail sent to members of the state legislature.

A joint statement Monday condemned the virulently anti-Semitic Winrod group of Gainesville, Mo., for sending the mail this week.

“We roundly reject the anti-Semitic hate mail that members of the Minnesota legislature received yesterday, and join our friends in the Jewish community in denouncing hatred and bigotry of this type,” House Speaker Steve Sviggum said. The Winrod Group also sent similar mail to legislators in Colorado and Iowa.

Kerry backs yarmulke

John Kerry urged the U.S. Coast Guard to allow a Chasidic Jew to wear a yarmulke while on duty.

The Massachusetts senator wrote a letter Wednesday to the commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard in defense of Jack Rosenberg of Spring Valley, N.Y.

After being sworn into (But not on the Bible to the God of Heaven) the Coast Guard Auxiliary last year, Rosenberg was told by his commander that he was not permitted to wear a yarmulke while on duty.

A former personal bodyguard of Osama Bin Laden says he is certain the al-Qaeda leader is planning an attack on the U.S. In the first television interview with an al-Qaeda member close to bin Laden since 9/11, Abu Jandal tells Bob Simon (Jew)  first-hand details about the world's most wanted man for a 60 MINUTES report to be broadcast Sunday, April 2 (7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Abu Jandal, who was with bin Laden in Afghanistan from 1996 to 2000, says bin Laden's last tape on which he threatened consequences to the U.S. is not a threat, but a promise. "When Sheik Osama promises something, he does it. So I believe Osama bin Laden is planning a new attack inside the United States, this is certain," he tells Simon in the interview conducted in Yemen earlier this month.

It's been long speculated that bin Laden is hiding in the tribal areas of Pakistan, but Abu Jandal says Afghanistan is the place. "Not Pakistan. I know the Pakistani tribe along the border very well. Yes, they can be very trustworthy and faithful to their religion and ideology, but they are also capable of selling information for nothing," he says.

Even if found, bin Laden will not be captured, says Abu Jandal, whho says the al-Qaeda leader gave him the authority to kill him if he was surrounded. "If he was going to be captured, Sheik Osama prefers to be killed than captured," he tells Simon. "There was a special gun to be used if Sheik Osama bin Laden was attacked and we were unable to save him, in which case I would have to kill him," says Abu Jandal.

The closest the Americans came to getting bin Laden before 9/11, recounts Abu Jandal, was the U.S. missile attack on al-Qaeda training camps near Khost, Afghanistan -- a retaliatory strike for the al-Qaeda bombing of two U.S. embassies in Africa in 1998. It was luck that saved him the night before the strike. "There was a fork in the road," remembers Abu Jandal, "one road leading to Khost and the training camps and another one leading to Kabul. I was with Sheik Osama in the same vehicle with three guards... he turned to us and said, 'Khost or Kabul?' We told him, 'Let's just visit Kabul.' Sheik Osama said, "Okay, Kabul.'" So the missile strike the next day failed to get bin Laden, but the man they think provided information that led to it was discovered. "It was the Afghan cook," said Abu Jandal. He says he would have killed the man who betrayed bin Laden himself, but bin Laden forgave him and sent him home. "Sheik Osama even gave him money and told him, 'Go provide for your children.'"

"I don't want to sound glib here but it is the first time in Nevada that you'll see a mushroom cloud over Las Vegas since we stopped testing nuclear weapons," said James Tegnelia, head of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

Tegnelia said the test was part of a US effort to develop weapons capable of destroying deeply buried bunkers housing nuclear, chemical or biological weapons.

"We have several very large penetrators we're developing," he told defense reporters.

"We also have -- are you ready for this - a 700-tonne explosively formed charge that we're going to be putting in a tunnel in Nevada," he said.

"And that represents to us the largest single explosive that we could imagine doing conventionally to solve that problem," he said.

The aim is to measure the effect of the blast on hard granite structures, he said.

"If you want to model these weapons, you want to know from a modeling point of view what is the ideal best condition you could ever set up in a conventional weapon -- what's the best you can do.

"And this gets at the best point you could get on a curve. So it allows us to predict how effective these kinds of weapons ... would be," he said.

He said the Russians have been notified of the test, which is scheduled for the first week of June at the Nevada test range.

"We're also making sure that Las Vegas understands," Tegnelia said

Billionaire philanthropist Jimmy Walter and WTC survivor William Rodriguez this week embarked on a groundbreaking trip to Caracas Venezuela in which they met with with the President of the Assembly and will soon meet with Venezuelan President himself Hugo Chavez in anticipation of an official Venezuelan government investigation into 9/11.

Rodriguez was the last survivor pulled from the rubble of the north tower of the WTC, and was responsible for all stairwells within the tower. Rodriguez represented family members of 9/11 victims and testified to the 9/11 Commission that bombs were in the north tower but his statements were completely omitted from the official record.

Jimmy Walter has been at the forefront of a world tour to raise awareness about 9/11 and has still yet to receive any response to his million dollar challenge in which he offers a $1 million reward for proof that the trade towers' steel structure was broken apart without explosives.

Rodriguez said that he was told an FBI agent had asked the hotel him and Walter were staying in turn over a list of names of residents. Upon hearing this, the National Assembly provided armed military protection for the entirety of the trip. In addition, Walters said that CIA agents were seen surveilling the beach on which he and Rodriguez had handed out free DVD's a day earlier.

The US government attempted to sabotage the trip by putting Rodriguez, who has been decorated at the White House itself, and Walter on a no fly list.

Rodriguez and Walter offered their full support for Charlie Sheen's recent public stance on 9/11 and were heartened by his efforts. The potential of a government level inquiry endorsed by Hugo Chavez dovetails with Sheen's call for an independent investigation to be carried out by political foreign nationals.

The catalyst for the agenda to intern millions of Americans deemed subversive in a time of manufactured chaos could be race riots kick-started by radicalized Mexican Klan groups and their establishment controllers.

Yesterday we reported on the immigration protests that are a front for the violent separatist Atzlan movement. After watching Spanish TV news stations we were able to ascertain that the marches were not wholly an organic response to the introduction of the immigration bill but were being artificially promoted and organized by the Spanish-language media.

The Associated Press reported today that, "Many of the 500,000 people who crammed downtown Los Angeles on Saturday to protest legislation that would make criminals out of illegal immigrants learned where, when and even how to demonstrate from the Spanish-language media.

"For English-speaking America, the mass protests in Los Angeles and other U.S. cities over the past few days have been surprising for their size and seeming spontaneity."

"But they were organized, promoted or publicized for weeks by Spanish-language radio hosts and TV anchors as a demonstration of Hispanic pride and power."

In reality the foundation of the protests is not the Sensenbrenner bill but part of an orchestrated advance on the part of a race hate movement that seeks to enact a brutal program of ethnic cleansing that will wipe uncooperative whites and blacks from the south and western states off the map, as detailed in our previous article.

The internment camp program is being readied for execution following the announcement on January 24th that Halliburton subsidiary KBR (formerly Brown and Root) had been awarded a $385 million contingency contract by the Department of Homeland Security to build detention camps.

A much discussed and circulated report, the Pentagon's Civilian Inmate Labor Program, has recently been updated and the revision details a "template for developing agreements" between the Army and corrections facilities for the use of civilian inmate labor on Army installations."

The pretext given for which the camps would be used as reported by the New York Times was stated as, "an unexpected influx of immigrants, to house people in the event of a natural disaster or for new programs that require additional detention space."

Mexican racial superiority groups are being protected and funded by the elite in order to create a backlash from middle class white and black Americans that will lead to a fully fledged race war. It's so easy to make fun of mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer. All his movies are basically the same. They are action extravaganzas with beautiful women, strapping men, explosions, car chases, one-liners, a score that mixes synthesizers and orchestral music (usually by Trevor Rabin or Hans Zimmer), and most importantly, utterly devoid of thought. Bruckheimer (Bad Boys II, King Arthur) is setting out to entertain, not to make people think. And unfortunately, most people want big and stupid, instead of something worthwhile. National Treasure takes an interesting idea, and then gives it a lobotomy in order to Bruckheimer-ize it.

It turns out that the Founding Fathers put the really important stuff on the flip side. 4 Israelis killed in terror attack at Kedumim gas station

Four Israelis were killed Thursday night after a suicide bomber blew up inside an Israeli car near the gas station at the entrance to the settlement of Kedumim in the northern West Bank.

According to Kedumim Regional Council head Daniella Weiss, the four Israelis killed included an elderly couple from the settlement, another Kedumim resident later discovered in the vehicle, and a girl from the center of the country. The names of the victims were being held until all the families could be notified.

The IDF said it appeared that Israelis traveling in the car apparently picked up a Palestinian hitchhiker with an explosive belt who blew himself up as the car traveled near Kedumim.

The car, which was utterly burned in the explosion, had yellow plates and was not reported stolen, leading security officials to believe that the Israelis had mistakenly picked up a Palestinian suicide bomber, believing that he was a Jewish Israeli.

The Aksa Martyrs' Brigades took responsibility for the attack, saying the bomber was Ahmad Mashrake, aged 24.

Parts of the vehicle flew as far as 60 meters.

Speaking to The Jerusalem Post shortly after the bombing, Weiss blamed Prime Minister-elect Ehud Olmert for the terror attack. "Olmert's delusional plan to give away land has motivated the Palestinians to try and push us out of our homes through acts of terror. They and Olmert will not succeed," she said.

Road to Temple Mount uncovered

The main road that ran from Jerusalem's City of David to the Temple Mount during the time of the Second Temple (of abominations, Ezekiel 8) has been uncovered by Israeli archeologists, those involved in the dig said Thursday. The road connected the Shiloah pool in the City of David to the Temple Mount compound.

The 2,000-year-old road was discovered adjacent to the Shiloah pool during ongoing excavations at the site, said Israeli Antiquities Authority archeologist Eli Shukrun. He is directing the dig together with University of Haifa archeologist Prof. Ronny Reich.

The road was used by the tens of thousands of people who came to Jerusalem for the Jewish pilgrimage holidays during the Second Temple Period, who immersed themselves in the Shiloah pool before entering the Temple Mount, Shukrun said. He said the road showed the centrality of both the Temple and the pool for life in the city at the time.

Archeologists had previously discovered the other end of the 600-meter road near the Temple Mount, he said.

I used to be an American Jew. And then I read Daniel Pipes.

"As Israelis go to the polls," Dr. Pipes wrote this week in an article that originally appeared in the New York Sun, "not one of the leading parties offers the option of winning the war against the Palestinian Arabs."

Dr. Pipes goes on to admit "a certain frustration" with the apparent unwillingness of Israelis to go out there and do the right thing: bring the Arabs to heel, by use of overwhelming force.

The article, entitled "Israel Shuns Victory," sets out a kind of self-test for us, listing nine different options by which Israelis from far left to far right, and moderates in between, all "manage the conflict without resolving it," "ignore the need to defeat Palestinian rejectionism." and "seek to finesse war rather than win it."

This is not the first time Dr. Pipes has let Israelis have it for letting him down. In a 2003 speech to college students, cited on his Website www.DanielPipes.org, he suggested that Arabs will not truly accept Israel?s existence until Israel "punishes violence so hard that its enemies will eventually feel so deep a sense of futility that they will despair of further conflict."

Where did we go wrong? "Wars are won, the historical record shows, when one side feels compelled to give up on its goals," Dr. Pipes writes, indicating that Israel will win only when Arabs are forced to give up their goal of eliminating a Jewish state.

He notes, by way of inference, that the wars in 1948-49, 1956, 1967, 1973, and 1982 failed to persuade them. I guess we didn't fight hard enough, or well enough.

I suppose if I were living in, say, Philadelphia, Dr. Pipes' frustration, disappointment, and prescription for setting things right, might make perfect sense.

In fact, a number of our readers who live in North America, some of whom regularly use the word coward to describe Israeli moderates, have any number of suggestions for us as well, up to and including the use of weapons of mass destruction on Palestinians, apparently in an effort to change their minds about us.

That said, I have a couple of questions. The first concerns people like Mahmoud Masharka, 24, of Hebron. Masharka was apparently disguised as an Orthodox Jew when he set out hitchhiking and was picked up by three Israelis late on Thursday. He then detonated the bomb belt he was wearing, incinerating the car and killing everyone inside.

Does Dr. Pipes really believe that people who crave a violent, Jew-murdering death are really going to accept Israel if only enough military force is applied?

Is Dr. Pipes telling us that people who celebrate the sacrament of suicide are going to think differently of us if we send in more tanks, bigger bombs, more F-16s, more Apaches, more infantry brigades, more commandos, demolish more homes, demolish more olive trees, demolish what little is left of the Palestinian Authority?

I understand that we have disappointed the analyst with the Harvard pedigree. But if he'll allow me one more question:

Since when did we become mercenaries for Daniel Pipes?

After reading Dr. Pipes, I'm not sure I can be an American Jew anymore. I guess, at long last, I've become an Israeli. Unlike Dr. Pipes, I can't bring myself to win the war against the Palestinians. At least not the way Dr. Pipes would have me do so. I guess the guy's right. My friends in my IDF battalion couldn't do it either.

Of course, there might be another explanation. One that might fit a guy who lives 6,000 miles away and lets us know we don't have the Right Stuff to show these Arabs what for.

Daniel Pipes is a new kind of Israel-basher. He is an equal-opportunity hater of Israelis. None of us is good enough for him. We lack the will to fight like the man he quotes as a role model for us, Douglas MacArthur. From unilateralism to transfer, nothing we come up with is good enough for him.

Try as we might, we just can't seem to win his war for him.

I guess he'll just have to do it by himself.
